Great work Sebastien, I like the way you post a period photo of the item. Is there any way through DNA they could ID these guys? Do they go to that much trouble when they find skeletons like this? It would be nice if the families could finally know what happened as they are probably listed as MIA still to this day.

the way through the DNA is very expensive i think. Germany is a rich country, of course. But I have never heard before about this way of identifying the remains of soldiers from World War II.
Of course it would be nice if families could finally find out what happened. So my grandfather's brother went missing in Stalingrad. And I want to know about his fate, like many others.

The best they can expect at present is burial as another unbekannter soldat. Maybe one day they will get their names back.

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Friends, members I have for you is very sad news
Last night our comrade Jim4263 died from a heart attack.

I'm crying and I'm in big shock!
Yes we were together here only two days... but we had more than a simple friendship, I fell in love him as a father, brother.
He helped me a lot when I got into a life's mess. And he was very worried that I do not have the opportunity to publish here.

sorry for my emotions and probably I write it not correctly in English. But it was here on forum we met and now I know that I lost my friend.

    Take care .. friends
