Hello fellow battlefield relic enthusiasts.
I have another small find of mine that I can't id, any way I turn it.
I went on a small hunt at my "spot", a beachside WWII italian-german bunker on the mediterranean coast in Greece.
Not many finds, very slim pickings although the rain last week was torential and I had hopes that some small relics might have been washed out of the diggouts and the mound of dirt thrown up by the bombardements...
Nope, nothing spectacular.
But I found this small item, ~1x1,5cm, looks like it's brass or bronze, has the remains of an iron rivet in it.

Very small puzzling brass or bronze relic, possible ID?

I have many theories of what it could have been, ranging from ID-card ring, key chain ring holder to sock suspender but I'm not able to pin it down...

Any ideas out there?
