This is the vehicle's fuel tank cork
Hi Dimas, that is a good guess, but I don't think it is correct?
I should have mentioned that the cap is only 50mm in diameter and I also found 5 of them all in the same location.
Cheers, Ade.
I'm sure I saw it somewhere. I have to look through my boxes of unidentified scrap finds in the garage. From the rivets, I would also say it's german though.
I have absolutely the same in shape but soviet, in small cannister for fuel, about 50 liter tank, which I use for keeping fuel
Probably this is the same...
maybe an engine valve cap. ive got one on my truck that looks like that.
Looks like a radiator cap to me...
Thanks for all the comments guys. It is a bit of a puzzle. The odd thing was finding 5 of them all together?
Cheers, Ade.
Nah.....I tell you what it looks like to me but you're not gonna like it.
...............
...it looks the cap from the end of a flourescent tube. Or possibly the base from a battery compartment of some kind.
Just my thoughts....
