Applegate/Fairbairn "Black" Böker Bundeswehr

Hi, mates,

wanna show this used Bundeswehr combat knife, an BÖKER A-F BLACK, (Applegate/Fairbairn "Black Böker"),
"KAMPFMESSER KSK".

blade lenght: ca. 150 mm
overall lenght: ca. 277 mm
thickness of the blade: ca. 5 mm
width of the blade: ca. 28 mm

Such pattern combat knives were/are introduced in the Fernspählehrkompanie 200 (Remote Scouting Coy 200 / long-range reconnaissance Coy 200), and, the Kampfschwimmerkompanie, (Combat Swimmer Coy) of the Bundeswehr.
As the only police unit it took over only the SEK (Spezialeinsatzkommando), special task force of the Police, of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Private purchased knives also saw action in foreign countries, carried by soldiers of the Bundeswehr in different units, for example, in the KSK (Kommando Spezialkräfte).

I've read that the military version guard, unlike the civilian model, does not have a serial number.

The rubber strap for "locking" the handle of the knife in the sheath is marked with:

Here´s a broken "Kampfmesser KSK", worn bei an Soldier of the Kommando Spezialkräfte actually.

Two steel weights are incorporated into the handle to balance the knife.
As far as I learned, the knife was introduced in August 1998 in the Bundeswehr.

Nice knife, this is not the military version, but the civilian version, recognizable by the serial number.

Yes, I know it is civilian version. It is brand new knife
