    Slightly rarer than usual model as it has the sight on the muzzle ring.

    This was to fit the carbine version of the the M1895.

    OEWG = Osterreichische Waffenfabriks-Gesellschaft.

    Austrian Eagle property stamp on the frog stud.

    did a little research, upon what you told me:
    M95 Rifle Bulgarian 1903 Contract Sn 7522 pictures from collecting photos on webshots
    http://www.sunblest.net/gun/Mann95Bu.htm
    this makes sence.
    thanks a bunch.

    also, what i found about the sight on the muzzle ring:
    Auxiliary front sight on top of the muzzle ring. This compensated for the change in point-of-impact caused by firing the Stutzen with the bayonet fixed. The effect was much more marked in the short-barrel Stutzens than the full-length rifles.

    Yes in WW1 the scabbards were painted, when a WW1 vintage, it could be from italian front with the M91 Carcano frog.

    The olive colour indicate an unaltered m95 bayonet (meaning it is not a reworked bulgarian) and indicate hungarian use.
    Their scabbards were olive painted both in ww1 and ww2. Except the frog, this is, in my opinion, one good example of a hungarian m95 bayonet.

    The OEWG and eagle mark on the scabbard indicates austrian manufacture in an Austro-Hungarian empire, but does not rules out the hungarian use whatsoever.
    It's clearly not a FGGY manufacture, but it is konwn that AH empire used m95 bayos with several manufacturers.
    Hungarians,also used this kind of olive paint for their scabbards for the m35 ww2 bayonet, for example.
