Hello,
Standard ww2 Australian bayonet made at orange arms in 1944. Not rare but does look in good condition. The grip plates were made by slazenger in 1943 which isn’t unheard of but I prefer to have the grip plates made in the same year. The scabbard condition doesn’t match the bayonet’s and was made by Mangrovite in 1942. With that year it would indicate that it wasn’t originally paired with that bayonet. I’d buy it if the price was right otherwise I’d wait for one with all matching years, they aren’t hard to come by.

OA Orange Arsenal? b.r.Andy
Could be a bargain in Oz but pricey in the Northern hemisphere.
Really? That’s interesting, what do you think it might be worth?
I bought my unissued 44 Orange bayonet for $215AUD about 5 years ago with matching year grip plates and scabbard which was also unissued. I think they are a little more expensive now. I would expect to pay between $175 and $200AUD for your one.
