Had a great day at the local gunshow this morning
where I bought this nice French bayonet for a
reasonable amount. Loaded with markings,
but unfortunately no scabbard.

I also love the look of them and they are still fairly cheap to obtain. I can't imagine it would have been comfortable holding the rifle with it attached
Who doesn't love a yatagahn bladed bayonet? I love em, can't walk by one without picking it up and usually take it home.

they were designed so they would be long enough to take a man down on horseback back during the days of horse cavalry
I have several Yataghan style bayonets in my collection, the TURK M1874 sword bayonet is my favorite , the blade is extra thick and heavy
