Nice, it has character. It looks like it's been through a war.

Yes i know, but (and I'm no expert) i've never seen one before with this makers.
I looked it up in Franz: Preußisch-deutsche Seitengewehre 1807-1945 Band I and found both makers but not together.
The bayonet is not in the best condition, but I bought it just for the rare (Chemnitz) maker.
Hammesfahr bayonets you can find by the dozen

The Schubert is declared by Ron Riede as a scarce but not rare version. Is certainly a good hit. They made only SG98/05nA plain.best regards,Andy

    Hi, Jean !

This is a "coproduction" of two different companies.

One of both manufactured the blade, the other, (I guess, Hammesfahr), put together, ("mounted"), all the parts of the bayonet.

I don´t really think, that this is a "scarce combination" ...

I own a "Butcher" with similar maker´s-mark´s, (also in a bad condition ...).

    Rgds.,

    Hallo reibert

    thank you for the intel.
I know I havn't the most rare bayonet in the world, but it is a scarce one.
Yours is the second I saw in real life as well as in books.
Hammesfahr made other baynets with pre produced blades, notably the bayard made blades for the 84/98.
I see that yours is also a 1917, there should also be 1916 ayonets.
