Very pretty. The crossguard looks so elegant for some reason.
Very nice - quite a rare unit mark I suspect.
Bill, lovely SG 71, markings "XIII.G.B.III.I.223" equait to "XIII Armee Korps. (K.Wurttembergische) Garrison Battalion III. Komp 1. Waffe Nr 223.", in English, '13TH Army Corps, (Wurttemburg District) 3rd Garrison Battalion. 1st company. weapon number 223. XIII Armee Korps had its HQ at Stuttgart, with subsequent garrison towns at Ulm, Ludwigsburg and Tubingen.
Prost! Steve.

Hi, nice bayonet and scabbard. I haven't seen many with Armee Korps markings - most are marked to regiments. Mine has a B.A. XIX.13. crossguard marking with the manufacture date machined off and 53.R.R.15.49 marked on the scabbard. Terry
hate to pointlessly resurrect an old thread, but this one is simply STUNNING, Bill.
Would look great in my collection too, if you ever decide to part with it![]()
Nice Piece Bill,
If you get fed up with I could find a home for it here!
I wouldn't say it's one of "my" phrases per se, and the phrase you're looking for is "get my .02 cents in".
And 50 cent is some clown that rhymes in gibberish while wearing funny clothes, mate.
And I'm still 1st on that bayo list![]()
