Default Identify: Mauser Bayonet with Serial Number only

    Hello,

Grandfather passed away and I would like help identifying this bayonet.

It only has a serial number on the back. I do not plan to sell this, so I am not looking for a price, just curious about its make/origin and year mostly. The scabbard was also painted green and am not sure if it is covering an identifying marking?
