Hi,
Is this some private Kampfmesser model of a Wehrmacht soldier?
It fits well in the hand.
Residues of original DUNKELGELB paint
Best wishes

It is a throwing knife, and I don't believe it is that old.

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
now is it a throwing knife or a OSS FISK KNIFE? look's very simular to one?
Hi
These knives are very similar.
I also found on the Internet almost the same from 1930-40. XX century.
But where did this typical German color come from, perhaps it was the equipment of a Wh soldier?

I'd wish to view an image of a German Soldier using one of these knives or some reference where it was pictured/referred too. Additionally, as Ralph has indicated, it may simply be a contemporary throwing knife. As I had indicated, it resembles an OSS Frisk knife, yet that may just be a coincidence. I own quite a few German fighting knives and I have not observed a similar styled knife in German hands. But never say never, eh? Perhaps, someone will view this thread and enlighten us further.

I moved this thread to this forum until this knife is proven otherwise.

Hi there,
so I don't recognize any "typical German color" on the piece.
