    Has anyone seen a blade-marked U.C. 1943 M3 trench knife like this? I’ve never seen one without the grooved handle before.

    Difficult to say from this one picture but my guess it that the blade is legitimate but for what ever reason the grip has been damaged and replaced. Personal preference and price might dictate whether you wish to acquire it.

    I noticed your other post with pics. Original blade IMHO that has had the leather washers replaced and put together. The leather grip is not from the factory and was not properly done. The pommel has some severe deterioration and I assume the original leather washers rotted off.
