I prefer the look of these Ontario versions compared to the earlier M9s but I'm yet to pick one up. All you need now is the scabbard pouch.

I'll have to track down a pouch. I do know my neighbor was in the army , he was a .50 cal gunner on a humvee. Told me quite a few wild stories

Great to have some history behind it. Shouldn’t be too hard to find the pouch in the States.

    Hi,

only the Phrobis / Buck MPBS M9 bayonet was equipped with such a pocket for storing a 9mm Beretta FS92 pistol magazine, a utility knife/pocket knife, or a multi-tool.

Lancay / Lan-Cay, Ontario, on the other hand, did not have these pouches from the factory.

Ontario also made its M9 for the civilian market, but your example seems to be a military issued MPBS M9.

You have a very nice example here, made in February 2005 in my opinion.

The number 407 could be the "rack-number" or maybe part of the serial number of the 5.56 mm. NATO caliber US Soldier's M16 assault rifle.
