P1917 shotgun bayonet in NAM ?

Hi, mates,

rumors say, such P17 bayonets saw action in NAM , affixed to the Model 12 Winchester Trenchgun (12 gauge pump shotgun).

Could this, particular, M1917 bayonet one of these ?

Nice bayonet. The M1917 bayonet was used during the Vietnam War. No one can say if yours was used during that time without some provenance to prove. The US also refurbished them and issued with plastic grip panels.

The M1917s were also re-manufactured during the Vietnam War. These new productions have the plastic grips.
