    Default Strange "NAHKAMPFER" trench knive

I recently saw very strange "NAHKAMPFER" trench knive.
As I can seen previously in Klaus Lubbe book it must have wooden grips.
I think acid etched on the blade "NAHKAMPFER" realy look terrible and improperly.

So I think realy may be two possible versions:
    1) This is original trench knive. But it "was restored" with replacement of bakelite grips and adding ugly "NAHKAMPFER" on the blade with modern font.
    2) it's fully fake/repro
I'm leaning towards the second hypothesis.

    What do you think?

You should compare the handle details of the previous nederland piece? the etch on blade with large letters doesnt look period.

    Size for this knive:

    Overall lenght: 273 mm
    Blade lenght: 156 mm
    Blade width: 21 mm
    Scabbard lenght: 16 mm
So it's size approximately like original trench knife

    bakelite grips comparision:

I can’t understand the only thing for which to make such a terrible repro?

You should exactly examine the patent button on secure leather strap and the complete scabbard. The button looks old. The Nahkaempfer marking on ricasso looks like stamped there to contrary of etched large describing on left blade.
