Interesting bayonet. You can see where they got the idea of the design from.
Cheers, Ade.
You got the AR10 as well?
Cheers,

I am looking out for informations concerning the two versions of this particular bayonet.
How can I differentiate, (and, ascribe), the two versions ?
I saw the bayonet with a "long" pommel an the serial number in "Arabic", also with non "Arabic" digits.
Then the "short" pommel-version, (as shown here), also with non "Arabic" digits.
Thx. in advance !

Hi !
Wanna "wake up" this, old, thread, because I´m still searchin´ for further informations regarding this pattern bayonet.
The catch of the bayo is showing a coil spring.
Today I wanna show you a "long pommel" "Sudan-Bayo", I received only day´s ago.
The catch is showing a leaf spring.
1st series of this pattern bayonet were manufactured in 1959 and delivered to the Sudan.
A modified version was manufactured in 1960.
I´m curious, which version was the 1st, and, which one was the 2nd ... ?
Thx. in advance,
R.
One thing I remember reading about these is that ones numbered under 2500 are considered 1st models and those over 2500 are 2nd models. With that being considered, the long mortise slot was 1st, the shorter one second and the serial numbers shown on the above two examples seem to bear that out.
