Hi,
Original imo.
Luc
Looks correct to me.
Like mentioned by others, should be ok, i dont known about fakery of this bayonet, the scabbard probably had some water inside and the rust on blade was started, doesnt looks like the blade was used or sharpened otherway. Brown paint is on syntetic parts as typical to see.
Some more:
"Sudan-bayonet"
Thank you all for your responses!
So, I will buy this item.
How much does the seller ask for the bayonet?
655 usd
Not extra cheap for this condition of blade.
To be truthful as this bayonet, whilst it may be desirable to a collector, it is not "historically significant" and that blade can never be made to look better so I do not think that is a price I would ever consider unless I had a desperate desire to own one.
Just my opinion from a general militaria perspective.
Regards
Mark
