A nice looking blade.
Yes, actually a very shapely knife bayonet.
Unfortunately, this model is no longer really easy to obtain because Switzerland no longer likes to see military property "disappear" abroad and end up in private hands.
I've got a Victorinox version and Reibert is right, it was not cheap to obtain. They are great looking, well made bayonets but i do find them odd that only one side of the blade is shaped.
A few weeks ago I discovered a Swiss M1990 bayonet again at an internet auction and was finally able to buy it for less than EUR 90 incl. auction shipping.
OK, this is a "carried" example with signs of wear and use, but still in good condition.
The "Fröschli", ("frog"), for the Grundtrageeinheit 90 (GTE 90) (basic carrying equipment 90) is stamped with:
Wise Pearl Ltd, China, 2013
(There are also such frogs made in Slovakia)
Compare the "Standard Frog" and the frog for the GTE90
In any case, I'm always happy when I can get such a swiss M1990 bayonet at a reasonable price.
