Hello everyone,
the BGS is not a usual discussion topic, I would like to post this general visor.
It is a 1970 produced cap and it is very well preserved.

Lovely shape - extremely small size 53! Mine is five years older, also made by Alkero, the NCO/EM version. The BGS was the only west-German organisation which - at least into to the 1990s - upheld the old German uniform tradition.

Hello! Yes BGS had traditional uniform, on a Berlin Museum website I have found this picture of a BGS general cap with gold piping as in WW2 general visor cap. It is the only picture I've found of this kind. Who knows how long it was used and if it was ever used!
