BW Heer Visor

Picked this up in a local antique shop. I thought it was neat looking. Panzer pink? I can't quite say for sure. I'm trying to date it, but the newspaper inside doesn't have any information date wise.

Hi M D Helmets, a nice pre 1970 BW Heer Panzer visor cap, it was made in November (XI marking) the year (which will be a 1960's year date) being obscured by the sticker.... all pre 1970 caps had the ribbed cap band in black, with some examples turning anything from a lighter shade of black trough to tan colour ! due to light exposure throughout its life, the main body of the cap being a dark grey...after 1970 the band was black with a velvety appearance (loosing its ribbed look) also all Heer uniforms adopted a standard light grey colour including all headwear.....as before 1970, the colour of these uniforms had tended to be from a blue grey, every shade of grey through to almost black !

Thank you Steve! As always you're a wealth of knowledge when it comes to BW items. I think it's a very near looking visor. I can't afford a wartime panzer visor, lol.

One of the pleasures of Bw uniform even today, among those who have tailored uniforms, is the variety of greys. If you have not seen it, as I have, then you will be surprised at how un uniform this uniform really is.

I think 1960s Bw things are very pleasing.
