I think it stands for 'Commitment to Peace and Freedom'
Hi Harry TM, Thank you for your prompt response.
Regards Michael
Hello Michael,
I'm pretty sure I answered a question concerning a same streamer (Fahneband) a couple of month ago. Too bad I'm not really sure if it was on this forum
This streamer was given by the german state to foreign troops leaving germany. It has to be at least a battalion. The streamer is meant as thanks for securing peace and freedom...especially in germany. Your streamer was awarded in 1992.
I found this article from last year

We got bu**er-all when we left Napier barracks in Dortmund back in 1972... I think they were probably glad to see the back of us!![]()
Hi Harti, Thank you very much for your input and the photos etc. I am a bit surprised that these things come onto the market given that they were presented to UK and other military organizations?? Spares or copies perhaps?? In any event, I now know what they signify!!
With thanks and best wishes
Michael
Can you tell us how long your Fahnenband is...?
