Gents,
Received a nice photo lot in the mail yesterday. The photos were taken at Gottfried Ludwig Weber's funeral in 1958, a recipient of the Oak Leaves.
Gottfried Weber born 21 January 1899 was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a Generalmajor in the Bundeswehr. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Gottfried Weber was captured by Soviet troops in May 1945 in the Courland Pocket. He was released in 1955 and in 1956 he joined the Bundeswehr.

Two lovely portraits, unfortunately they went too rich for me.
Death notice to RKT Weber, he died on 16 August 1958 in a car-accident in Villach, Austria.
A closer view on the "Ordenskissen". The IAB looks like a 57er, so I'm inclined to say the others are too.
