Hello, for third time, I am trying to buy a Officer Visor Cap.
Now I found this Army Artirelly Officer Visor Cap from Schellenberg.
The sweat band looks very new.

I searched in other threads, and looks like a Late War Schellenberg Artillery 1945, but I´m not an expert.

Late War Schellenberg Artillery visor cap original or repro?

Could you give me your opinions?

    Thanks a lot,
    Alexander

It is indeed a late-war Schellenberg. The pictures have been manipulated in order to hide the mothdamages to piping and crown - if you take a close look you can see the manipulations.

    Thanks ErWeSa for your answer.
I have manipulated the photos, due to I don´t want to have problems with the photo license from the seller, by this reason I have remove the name.
I have added another photo in the first post where you can see the piping with the small damage.

I see! At first I thought somebody wanted to pull your leg by manipulating the pics and hiding severe damge. If it's nothing but a few moth bites and you don't mind these you have a nice, original, late-war Schellenberg-cap.

As you well says, I don´t mind these small bites, so I think I´ll buy it. Thanks a lot.

Hello , finally I have received my first Schellenberg Visor Cap.

I think is a Late War Schellenberg Artillery visor cap and the sweat band is not leather , it´s synthetic. Is that right?

The inside visor hasn't the cross-hatch pattern, and I don´t know if it's Vulkanfiber (last picture)

Also the visor cap has come a little deformed. Is there a way to iron it?

    Thanks,
    Alexander

The very late-war caps often had bills made of pressed paper which was then laquered or very thin vulkafiber ones. The sweatband isn't synthetic it is a kind of leatherette - i. e. fabric covered by some coating. For reshaping, see here:

The metal spring in the crown seems to have slipped out of place. You could fix that if it is still flexible (i. e. hasn't corroded).

Thanks ErWeSa for your comment, now I can be sure that the cap is 100% original.
I´ll try to resahping the visor.
