gents,
I have this marke standard cap In my collection for a little while now. I still have some concerns I would like to share with the specialists. Some questions crossed my mind after I compared this visor to a whole lot of other kornacker examples on this and on the other forum.
I assume the eagle has been resewn. The 'swastika' looks awfull but is Original, I guess. The shape of this visor cap is fully kornacker style. A real nice saddle formed doeskin body. The initials of the owners name on the sweatband are simular to others I've seen on these caps. So far so good. Time to move to the odd features.
-Stirndruckfrei. The piece of velvet between the visor and the sweatband is one thing all of these Kornackers have in common but is not seen on this one...
-The typical pleating we all love to see is totally abscent on this cap.
-The sweatshield is very curly and appears to be made of some sort of plastic like material. (not sure)
-The text under the sweatshield is very fat. 'marke standard' is not even readable anymore. I have never seen this before. (only on janke caps)
It would be a natural reaction to consider this visor bad...when you do not look at the pictures and only read the above issues.
All help concerning the above will be greatly appreciated!
kind regards
