Buenas tardes!
Nice original Valet cap. The chin strap with the oval eyelets is more often found on LW caps, Heer caps normally had the square ones. Every now and then it happened that the wrong chin straps were put on a cap.
I hope the pin of the eagle didn't brake because you removed it - would be a pity and not very smart! As Shemp H said - don't remove anything else!

Did you see any resewn on visor and what about not matching eagle and cockade??

Bought a similar one recently.
bought recently this one, same type. You can compare if there is a difference.
My first look i would say looks the same as mine so is good...... but i am just a newbe..... so do not take my thoughts 100 %

Yours is a contract cap (issue grade). The one Velasco posted is a private purchase example.

Beat me to it sir.
I once had a LW cap with what I believe was a typically Kriegsmarine chin strap. (I don't collect KM).

I don't see any red flags. Appears to have a Tombak eagle and aluminum wreath. Not necessarily "wrong" on a private purchase cap IMO.
