    Hi,
Found this fake DLV visor cap. Not bad for the price I paid.
Those DLV caps are selten seen imo. Copies are scarce too.
This cap is a postwar Albert Kempf (Heer, Luftwaffe or police?)
    Any comment?
    Thanks in advance,
    Luc

N, good eye. Segelflieger insignia looks legit, but the eagle is a complete repro.
    Might be Berlin police EM/NCO.
    Thanks for posting this....

It is from May 1974. Could be some post-war Bundeswehr cap - LW EM/NCO-caps had (mostly) yellow piping (at least) around the top panel. There were Heereflieger caps which had grey piping but they seem to have been different. For BW-caps see here (for a cap just like yours with Bundespolizei badges, unfortunately unidentified, see post # 222):

    Bundeswehr peaked caps.

Hopefully one of the BW-specialists will enlighten us.

    Hi,
A friend tells me "Feuerwehr Niedersachsen" or " Feuerwehr des Bundeswehr".
    Still to investigate.

    Good evening Luc,
I don't think it could be Feuerwehr - they all are still very traditional dark blue with carmine piping and VELVET centerband. I tend to Bundeswehr. Would like to know for sure myself.
Found the cap called Feuerwehr Niedersachsen, too, but when you click at it this comes out:

Prison guard could be a possibility.

Close in appearance to the Berlin Police, but the "DLV" appears more blue:

I think I found out: German postman's cap of the 1960ies:

Wolfgang, agree, closer to Postal than police....
