I'd appreciate your assistance with this cap which has come up for sale.

If it's a "good 'un" I think I will get it. However, I' m not too good with headgear and wondered if perhaps it is a bit 'too new'

Jamie, I saw this one on the website and thought the same thing at first. Honestly It looks like a fine Bergmutze but I think the edelweiss is postwar, look at the diagram. It makes me wonder if the cap could be post war with TR insignia or was it just the edelweiss that was added to enhance value.
