It looks like very well worn wool to me, similar to the way my very worn tunic looks, but I keep getting fooled with these Schiffchens!

hard to say on these photos. the cloth looks ok but the shape is a bit "off" in my opinion.

May have been made up in original material post war.

Here is a comparison shot of one I used to own to help you make your mind up and compare shapes.

Here's photos from the seller, maybe this was made after the war with an old coat or something? The rivit and liner do look different.

Looks fine to me as well. It's had an extra piece of material sewn to the interior lining, possibly period done.
