Article about: Hi All I found this Heer sidecap at a local antique store with an asking price of 200. I'm unfamiliar with this style of cap. Looks like someone tried to denazify it at one point.

    Doesn't look German to me!
    More like Swiss or something as its the wrong shape.
    ( and it is officer bullion anyway )

    The insignia looks like it could be good but the cap is most likely swiss and the cockade also looks like it is Luftwaffe

    Looks more CZEK than Swiss doesn't it? Has the Czek postwar style but they were more in a brownish soviet style wool Insignia I don't know about looks ok to a extent. Could also be one of the Scandavian countries agree not German M-34. timothy

    the badges are good the cap not German.

    Might be worth it for the insignia if you can get it cheap enough.

    It'd have to be really cheap, $15 top for the damaged eagle, maybe $25 for the cockade!...

    Thanks for everyone's reply! I believe I'll pass on this one, the same guy who owns this cap owns nothing but repros. And they are marked as repro. However this one was marked as "authentic". Certainly did feel and look real. To the untrained eye that is.
