looks ok with the smallish pics,,,some distress, but better pics would give a more confident appraisal...
...thankyou for your quick reply mate....i had thought it was ok...only pics i can get from seller...what sort of price would you pay?..i figure in its condition aound $ 350 - $400..it looks fairly solid just needs an eagle to finish it off....
From the small pics supplied, It appears to be good, but as Militarymania says,
better photos are required to make a more positive assessment.
The price you quoted is ok for this cap, if it is genuine.
An original eagle should not be too hard to find.
A Luftwaffe EM cap of this sort was one of the first visors I acquired
over 30 years ago. I thought then, as I still do now - they are
really beautiful caps..........!
Regards,
Steve.
Bugger it's missing the eagle!!!!! Hope that is taken into account on the price cobber
Its a fine NCO Cap. Price is feeling OK.
Regards
....Gee...all you guys are real gentleman and i love this site as its one of those that dont have dickhead people on it....all are genuine collectors...and i feel at home here!!!!...thankyou GUYS!!!
...hi Steve...from another Steve...yes i like the look of the Luftwaffe caps....ive got a pair of boots that are period all i need is the uniform...cheers
I agree with the above. It is a non-contract private-purchase Signals made by Oskar Hertlein of Erlangen.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Oskar Hertlein had a wonderful and very intricate foil print design. It might not be the most desirable of TR or Luftwaffe caps but it's the little things like that design on a shield that hasn't perished that really make a difference.
