Need Help with potential M43 SS Cap
I am on vacation and happened upon this in an antique mall along with a few other German items. I have none of my books nor did I have much time to examine it as we got there 15 mins before they closed. There was an SS helmet I posted in the SS Helmet forum. This was the only display case with anything military in it in the whole place. I think the hat itself is real but I dont know about the ink stamp or trapezoid SS patch. Please give me your educated opinions.

The interior picture is the front seam of the hat where your forehead would be.
I like cap, stamp is likely post war to hump it up
Thank you for the opinion. I was worried that the ink stamp looked too fresh for the condition of the interior lining. What about the SS patch?
Ulrich of England have this in their sold section - same 'pumpkin head' trap.
So maybe it is ok?
