Is this a real ss crusher cap
Is this a real ss crusher cap
Sweatband is very unusual (looks a bit like a Russian one to me) and seems to have been resewn (and so is the lining, matter of fact such colourful linings did exist. Construction (centerband reinforcement, cheesecloth between top panel and lining etc.) is typical for period caps.
Perhaps I'll make a fool of myself but for me it stands a good chance.
Any further pictures - from the front particularly?

Here’s the form it’s 2800$ on eBay right now for buy it now
Seems like it had a skull-badge - that's why I wanted to see the front, could also have been a FSP cap with carmine piping if there hadn't been the skull there (furthermore the colour of the piping seems to be artillery red). I can understand the temptation to buy such a cap for this price (perhaps you should remove he sum), even in such a state but better wait for the real specialists for these, they might see what I overlook.
IMO, an Imperial Feldgrau Technical Troops officer visor tricked out as SS.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Here is an untouched example with leather visor and velvet band:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Here is another Imperial Technical troops that was passed off as Waffen-SS Arty:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Yeah I definitely see the resemblance with it I just thought it was cheap for a waffen ss crusher but thanks for helping me
