Panzer-Division 116 "Windhund" - schirmmütze with yellow piping?

Hello, I am trying to search for a reason why a visor cap - imo time authentic - from the 116 panzer division "windhund" has yellow piping that relates to a "Kavalerie" Yellow. I know this division had a "Nachrichten-Abteilung 228" (Signals) but the yellow doesn't seem to be related with the signal yellow.

Any ideas? Do i miss a part of the division that could be related with Cavalerie?

The 116th Panzer Reconnaisance Battalion likely wore cavalry golden yellow waffenfarbe.
