Here even the lining (tan, not black - did you mean the piping when talking of black lining?) seems to have been recycled (note the old holes for eyelets) etc. Interestingly enough the black piping doesnt seem to have been divided up. There seems to be a cluster somewhere recently for caps that were recycled.

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
There was the 1935 1st pattern that had two grommets and a black piping along the edges but I do not believe this is one of them, and the metal insignia was not worn on this type of RAD Feldmutze but rather on the Arbeitsdienstmutze / Kaffebohne / Robin Hood cap, the insignia should rather be like this, G
