Reichspost Postschaffner Mail visor.

I picked this up a while back with another visor I haven't posted yet. I like the lesser known branch visors. They are neat and great looking in my opinion. This one looks to be a postal visor that was marked "Postschaffner" on a tag when I got it. Despite the pics the piping is orange and not red. the cap has a size marked 55 1/2 and looks to be early with a date of 1935. It wasn't stored the best but is no worse for wear. The only thing that rose my eyebrow was how clean the eagle was compared to the rest. the inside is marked:

Thanks stonemint, I did have a bit of an eyebrow raise with how the eagle looked vs. the rest. But when I bought it my reaction was "why of all caps would someone diddle this one?" I really liked the early date and as previously stated, I like the branches that are somewhat obscure and not talked about much. They have their own story in the cog of the machine. I think that's why I like them.....


The orange looks really good in person, the light doesn't do it justice.
