No RZM tag:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
looks ok to me.
Any other opinions?
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
I actually owned two of these for officers, in fact, one of which is in the Saris book, which was heavily worn. It is on pp. 561.
It is for the SA Gruppe Oder, though......
I owned many of Alfred Ex's kepis in the 1990s into the early part of the last decade.

RZM tags do fall out...
It is obvious an earlier worn color was removed and the Südmark color
positioned over the ventilation-holes (these one can see on the inside).
The Austrian Edelweiss upon the correct color of diamond is positioned,
as how it should.
I wonder however why the coating from the button totally is gone and
why there is no evidence for an RZM tag inside (they were sewn on).
Why this button, which might have been a golden one (Südmark had
to wear a silver button) in contrary to a brandnew eagle and brandnew
flower. Were they replaced, at a later date? Apparently!!
A written name on the sweatband does not guarantee originality, neither
does some controll-ticket. From these photos I cannot give a 100% solution
or immediately say: okay! Just my opinion!
By the way: better photographs are required to see the color for the
brown twill. Now it looks not the color as for the brown-shirt, but that
could be optical illusion.
Pre RZM cap (no color ) with added color band and New model eagle ? IMO
Known practice in those days
The inner lining and color of the "Brownshirt" material looks very similar to one of mine that seems to be not in favor by many. It was stated that the lining was inconsistent with period caps. I would have to say that this either extends the discussion on Kepis with such characteristics at the very least.
