Sadly not an original one, you can tell from the following points.....
the insignia is reproduction
the cut of the cap ie shape is wrong.....the translation of he German name is "little ship", this is more ocean liner
no grommits at all for air holes, not essential but usually found as standard part of construction
the soutache, v material at the front is wrong shape wrong colour and wrong type of material for the piping.....
inside is badly put together imo
a flim prop looks best descrtion of this piece..............
Experience and reading some of the posts on the forum here will guide you to a nice original....
