You are planning to buy an SS officer hat based on 3 very limited images? I do not like the liner. Any images of the insignia?

Impossible to give review off of these 3 photos. Would need close ups preferably in natural light of all sides and interior. If possible under hood photos. Photos need to show stiching detail as well as band. Also need straight on close ups of insignia. Quality photos showing details are what allow the knowledge of this forum to flow into reviews.

I'll entertain the notion that we have to decipher the insignia from this absurd limited photo. When I downloaded the photo and zoomed in you can see the edge of the TK is probably a Panzer skull like this based on the familiar lines.

It is a professionally made cap. What I don't like is the base the leather (?) sweatband is sewn to - looks like grey plastic (and not oilcloth) and the quality of the velvet. A close-up of the sweatband and a picture of the reverse of the sweatband (triple serial-numbers?) would make it clear. If the seller doesn't want to provide more pictures, better forget it.

I agree it's a very nicely made cap from the exterior. If he provides better photo's who knows what we may discover.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
Aldo, does that mean it may well be a Panzer cap?
    Red piped?
I completely understand the photo thing but nothing else I could do.

I'll never understand the logic behind wanting to buy something with limited pics, would one do this with an automobile or home, why should militaria be any different ?

No the skull if it is a panzer skull just means it was the easiest thing to find to place on the cap. Red piping is artillery. No telling what really is affixed to that cap though

I might gamble for $50 as a study guide for caps, but who knows what you'll actually receive in the mail if anythtng
