Personally id have my doubts on this one, in my opinion the damage on the inside is not reflected by the almost mint exterior, but im sure others will comment on this, just noticed the out of line stitching below the Totenkopf, as if someone has added the lining and sweatband
Correct me if I´m wrong but should not the sweatband and the bottom of the visor be light brown also?
Amazing how the moths stayed completely away from the wool...Ha!
My friend I am going to have to side with some of the other comments on the un-even wear. I do not like it at all and would stay away myself.
Regards
Jeff
An odd combination for sure.
Not moths, I think. Perhaps mice.
Why not move this thread to our new (and an excellent idea) Cap Authentication forum?
I only suggest mice because, in my business, we often come across long-stored old upholstered chairs (even leather ones) which appear perfectly good on first appraisal - but have an old mice nest when you pull up the seat cushion. Mice will eat away (not for digestion) almost any material to make their nests, but won't go any further than necessary in the process.
Just a thought.
Actually, I think it might be legit, but hard to tell with all the mice-grazing going on. Needs a hands-on.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Right.
