    I was once told by Bob Coleman that a number of these were discovered in Austria in a depot at the end of the war, and they were all unissued (both Officer and EM/NCO).
    This appears to be one of them.

    I had one of these 40+ years ago, you couldn't give it away - no one wanted it.
    I think because of the pink color.
