    Default Brown beret missing badge

    Hello here,

I was happy to get a few belongings of Emmanuel Halkiadakis, a greek officer who joined the allied forces in north africa and ended his career as a general serving as "aide de camp" to King Paul I of Greece.
I missed most of the sell of his items on Ebay, but could get a very interesting tunic and beret of him.

The beret which is brown (probable reconnaissance unit ?) is missing his badge, I guess it was a cloth badge.
Do you know what regiment it could have been ? Do you agree it is a reconnaissance unit ?

The tunic had the SAS wing, the marks are still visible but I am not sure it matches the beret.

Here are some links to the ebay adds of the other belongings of this man, his history is detailed there :

Thank you. Do you agree this is probably a reconnaissance beret ?
I could not find a badge that fits the shape here. It may also be a greek badge.

    Fantastic little grouping there, Yast!
The beret is just oozing with history - clearly well-worn in a sunny climate!
No clue on the badge yet, but a Greek one is a good probability...
    Many thanks for showing.

    Thank you Jerry and Kohima.

Damned, I didn't look much into the greek cap badges, that's indeed a good track since the badge shape didn't trigger much responses.
I'll dig into that, thank you Kohima !
