estate sale Officer's cap

I picked this up at an estate sale last weekend.
It's nothing rare or special and I don't typically collect uniforms but it's
not often I see this stuff "in the wild" so I had to buy it.

note-it looks like it was stored with something resting on it and as a result
the front visor stitching has let loose and I edited out his full name..

I believe this was a private purchase hat as there is no official US Army
markings and the interior is marked "Sak's Fifth Avenue". Under the sweatband
is the original Sak's price tag tag of $15.
