Original ww2 battle dress?

Hi, in your opinion, is this an original WW2 denim Battle Dress?
Is it possible to know the year of its use? Can be used on italian front?

1940 TO 1942 When the 2nd pattern was introduced. It looks fine and is ok for Italy but perhaps the 2nd pattern is more likely for that date. Try looking at period photos of them in use and see what patterns were used then, though it is likely that some 1st patterns would still be used post 42.
