Royal Navy Officers Service Dress Cap

Hi All,

My find whilst out today. My first Naval Service Dress cap.

The cap itself is made of the mohair/doeskin type material that pickups up hairs no matter where it's placed. It has a leather covered peak and leather chinstrap.

Inside the cap appears unissued, with clean red silk lining and retaining it's imperial size sticker of 7 1/4 to the rear of the leather sweatband.

These are notoriously difficult to place to a particular era without a makers mark or name in the cap and this is no exception. It has a Kings Crown bullion badge which could place it anywhere between 1902-1953ish, although it's likely on the later side of this.
