US field cap? 1939? Seeking help.
Gday, I bought this item a few years ago (I even thought about wearing it, but it has not been cold enough, "Thank God" says my Wife!). I have very little knowledge of US gear and would appreciate any information on this. Thank you in advance.

You can see 'CIV' in the contract number which means it was for the CCC
