Can't remember if I've post this before, here's an original.
Was shocked to see Eastman repros go for US $109.99!!!

I’d say he was wearing a B-1, Phil...
Nice image.
Cheers,
Bob
Hey Bob, So it might be a B1? it hard to tell but maybe I can find a B1 in extra large. I really don't know the ball cap types very well and open to suggestions. That pic is from March 19th 1944. Would the B1 be appropriate for the time frame?

The Gent to the left in the middle is Phil Chaperon, 99 in September. He is wearing the mechanics coverall for his flight. suit ,So that made me think my Uncle might be wearing the mechanics cap.Let me know your thoughts about this. It has peaked my interest now.
Phil gave me that picture.

Most certainly good for timeframe, Phil...
Here’s the label from one of mine.
Bob,
Could you post a full pic of it?
I'm finding very little when I searched last night about them.
I would like to see it in full glory to compare it to what my Uncle is wearing.
I'll also add that so not to step on Rene's thread , if you could post it up in its separate thread I would be very Grateful!!!

With apologies to René for going way off piste (slapped wrists all round), I’ll bring it back on course with some images of my mechanics cap.
I had/have another one; rough as rats, with ‘POP’ written under the bill, but that seems to have disappeared...
Anyway, hope you like..
Very, Very nice Bob.
I was very lucky with this one René.
Picked it up for peanuts, at a time when nobody cared about the ground crew stuff.
