Usmc garrison cap(pacific theater)

I would be happy to receive info about this USMC garrison cap type in my collection

I was said it was used by USMC men during WW2 in Pacific theather and I would like confirmation and I wonder if was only for this theater use and another question would be know about the history from the marine owner A.J. BRINE,any help is welcome????
