2 NSDAP Cap Eagles.........

Two cap eagles I picked up this past September 2011. One from a local show and the other
from Forum member Matt. I believe they are the type for the SA kepi.

Although the photos got mixed up, the tarnished one is unmarked and missing a pin,
and the other a mint RZM marked 'M1/47'.

They are bold looking in design, reminiscent of Reichbahn eagles.

You have two very nice examples of the Model 1936 adler which was worn on the SA kepi and also on the first issue of NSFK kepis. The NSFK eventually changed to their own swept wing eagle.

They are super Steve, I like them alot. I agree they are bold and very "alert". Nice pick-ups.

Altough It has no maker (the one that is missing a prong) It has the typicaly F.Wagner construction.

Thanks guys. I knew it was a good one - nice to know who made it. The dealer thought
it was repro because it was not maker marked, but it does have a small circular
'die mark' ( for lack of a better term ) at the center.........

The second one appears to have a factory frosted finish. Rare to see.

It does have a light silver coating on it. I suspected that was the reason
the reverse is so blackened from oxidation.

Too bad about the missing pin, but for $20, I'm ok with it.........
