At first sight I thougt: plastic sweat shield - because it is so wavey. Furthermore I can't see what the stiffener of the centerband is made of - the black material here:
So I was rather put off.
Then I found this one (another A1/5):

Similar but.... I wish I had F.-B.'s knowledge. I hope one of the specialists will comment on this one. Would be interested myself. Seems to be impossible to judge with these pictures alone (at least for me).

I like it. The RFSS Tag were in use from 34 to 37. this Matches to the sweatband.
Can’t speak for the insignia, but they look promising.
