This visor was found by myself few years ago on an attic of an old hof ,but that does not guarantee it is a pristine piece, so I would like to hear all of your expert opinions. I want to thank you all for your replies.

Mate,
Looks ok to me but as always would like to see it in the hand.

Can you show the reverse of the peak and where the badges are fitted?
Jock
It is a a Hoffmann/Berlin high quality cap with a lot of character. A nice piece. Cavalry caps are pleasing and do not get enough attention in the to's and fro's of collector fads and group think. Also, you should perhaps be able to figure out its owner, too. Congratulations.
A nice honest cap. Glad to see someone didn't give into temptation and add a bullion eagle.
a combat cap !!!!!! superb
This species of Hoffmann cap is also rare, at least in my limited experience of forty four years. That is, the "Luxus" variant.
nice 1
I agree--a good one. Note that he was a "von".
I like cavalry caps. This was mine, once. It was a Holters, in fact.
Gone with the wind like so much else of my property and youth. I got it from Shea and he then sold it, in turn.
